Turn the function dial off zero to switch on and choose the heat type (top/bottom, 3D Hot Air, grill, etc.), then set the temperature on the second dial. Heating starts a few seconds later. 3D Hot Air draws from the rear element for even results on one or more shelves at once. Pyrolytic self-clean has its own dial position, with three intensities (roughly 1h15, 1h30, and 2h) and an automatic door lock during the cycle. The independent timer is set by pressing the timer button until its symbol shows, then adjusting with +/−.

Run the Drum Clean program periodically, wipe the detergent drawer regularly, and clean the pump filter about once a year or if the machine drains poorly.
